Never again to Martial Law / The mining mess in Mindanao: Ottawa events

You are invited to two upcoming events in Ottawa to support the struggle of the people of the Philippines.

1. “Never again to Martial Law” protest at the Philippine Embassy, 130 Albert Street, Ottawa, on Friday, February 23. 2018, focusing on the Imposition of Martial Law on the resource-rich southern Philippine island of Mindanao and;

2. “The Mining Mess in Mindanao” panel discussion and film showing on March 6, 2018, University of Ottawa (LMX Hall), will focus on Canadian government and corporate complicity in Development/Extraction Aggression in Mindanao and its impacts on Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples (Lumads). Featuring the film, All that glitters, and panelists, Catherine Coumans (Mining Watch Canada), Connie Sorio (Kairos Canada) and Nicole Sudiacal (Anakbayan Canada).
